Frequently Asked Questions

Is stand up paddle boarding hard?

Not at all! Paddleboarding is incredibly beginner-friendly. It only takes about 10 minutes to grasp the basics needed for our tours. We start with a quick land-based lesson, then give you plenty of time to get comfortable on the water. By the end, you’ll feel like a pro!

Ideally, yes, swimming ability is recommended. However, we’ve successfully guided many non-swimmers on our tours. You’ll be equipped with a wetsuit and buoyancy aid to keep you afloat if you enter the water. The key is feeling comfortable and calm, as panicking can pose a safety risk for both you and the group. Our guides are all certified life guards and first aiders.

Yes, our tours are suitable for older children! We generally recommend that participants be at least 13 years old, as we cover a fair distance. However, if you have an adventurous 10- or 11-year-old with experience and enthusiasm, they’re more than welcome! For safety reasons, we cannot take children under 8.

We provide everything you need for a complete SUP adventure, including a board, paddle, leash, wetsuit, buoyancy aid, and optional straps for glasses.

Our half-day tours are three hours in total, with around two hours spent on the water. The remaining time includes changing and a brief instruction session.

We don’t offer equipment rentals, but we’d love to take you on a guided tour and show you some of the most stunning paddle spots in the area!

Unfortunately, no. Since we’ll be meeting at the beach where we launch, there won’t be any facilities available. Please be sure to use the toilet before you arrive.

Do I need any prior experience?

Not at all! Our tours are designed for both beginners and experienced paddlers. If you’re new to paddleboarding, we’ll guide you through the basics; if you already know what to do, we’ll take you to the best spots to explore.

We do everything possible to keep you warm and comfortable on the water. We provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids to help retain warmth, and you’re welcome to add extra layers, like raincoats or cags, if needed. Most people end up feeling quite warm—often taking a quick dip to cool off! During our paddle season, sea temperatures range from 12°C (54°F) to 17°C (62°F).

Absolutely! You’re in expert hands with us. We adhere to the highest international safety standards set by the Academy of Surfing Instructors. All of our guides are certified SUP instructors with lifeguard and first aid training, along with countless hours mastering their skills on these very waters.

All you need to bring is yourself, an adventurous attitude, a swimsuit, a towel, a bottle of water if you’d like, and sunscreen for those warm, sunny days!

Visiting the caves depends on the weather, as we always choose the best paddling conditions. The caves can be unsafe in certain sea or weather situations, and safety is our top priority at Wild SUP Tours. Plus, if conditions are risky, it’s simply not as enjoyable—and your positive experience is just as important to us! All of our routes are beautiful places to paddle, you won’t be disappointed.

We’ll meet you directly at the beach where we’ll launch, so technically there’s no changing facility. However, you’re welcome to use our cozy camper van to change if you’d like!
